Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Basic computer knowledge as prescribed by the State Government.
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi (or both).
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 40 Years
- General Female & Reserved Category Male: Up to 5 Years
- Reserved Category Female: Up to 10 Years
- Additional relaxation for PwD & Ex-Servicemen as per government norms.
Salary Details : GSSSB Gujarati Stenographer Grade-3 Recruitment 2026
- Fixed Pay: ₹26,000 per month for the first five years.
- After completion of five years, appointment under 7th Pay Commission Matrix Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100).

Selection Process & Exam Pattern : GSSSB Gujarati Stenographer Grade-3 Recruitment 2026
The recruitment process consists of two stages:
Stage 1: Qualifying Shorthand Test
- Dictation in Gujarati shorthand at 60 words per minute for 2 minutes.
- Transcription speed of 7 words per minute (handwritten).
- Only qualifying candidates proceed to the Main Exam.
Stage 2: Main Examination
Paper-1: Gujarati Language & Computer Knowledge
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Includes Essay, Precis, Letter Writing, Translation (Gujarati ↔ English), Grammar, and Basic Computer Knowledge.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40%
Paper-2: Skill Test (Shorthand & Typing)
- Total Marks: 100
- Dictation: 2 paragraphs (4 minutes each) at 60 WPM.
- Transcription Time: 50 minutes on computer.
- Deduction: 1 mark for every 3 mistakes.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50
